The Rock might not be in the squared circle right now, but he didn’t go anywhere from the gossip boxes. Given that Brahma Bull wore a lot of hats in his career, people have a wide variety of subjects to talk about him. While the pro-wrestling endeavor is moving toward a momentous return and an eventual feud with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns back to back, the Hollywood prospect awaits the release of an A4 film, ‘The Smashing Machine’.

Meanwhile, the veteran head writer of WWE and The Rock’s bosom pal, Brian Gewirtz, drew attention to Johnson’s other venture, Teremana Tequila, and ended up getting a thumbs up from Rikishi.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson, back in 2020, launched the ultra-premium brand of the beverage and garnered remarkable success, selling 300,000 cases in the very first year. It’s on track to sell 600,000 cases yearly. The Rock has been vocal about having shots of his drink, Tequila, while grinding himself into a rigorous gym session and unwinding. And now, it seems his close buddy, Gewirtz, is giving himself the same delight by drinking a bottle of tequila to the point of getting wasted.

Gewirtz was seen unwinding with some dose of tequila and posted a picture of the same on X. The caption read,I may need to call in sick tomorrow”. The Rock’s cousin Rikishi was quick to take notice of the tweet and gave his nod with a two-word message that read, “Do it.”

The playful sin of Gewirtz made sense, as he had been a close ally to the Great One in more than one genre.

The decade-long striking bond between Dwayne Johnson and Brian Gewirtz

The soulful relationship between Dwayne Johnson and Brian Gewirtz grew during their time together in WWE, where The Rock was soaring high as a performer and Gewirtz used to keep a close eye on the creative process and storylines. Eventually, their cordial professional relationship turned into a deep personal camaraderie with Gewirtz becoming Johnson’s writer.

However, this was just the beginning. Their bond kept on strengthening and went beyond the realm of pro wrestling when Dwayne Johnson and Danny García’s Seven Bucks Productions chose the writer-producer Brian Gewirtz as SVP of Development. He still holds the position and has been working with the WWE legend.

In terms of WWE, Gewirtz should be more than happy with the current The Rock storylines as he always wanted the former WWE World Champion to join forces with his Samoan family tree.
