Dwayne Johnson Snubs His Cousin Roman Reigns as He Calls Rising WWE Star “The Total Package”

As we all know, Dwayne Johnson is one of the most charismatic guys that WWE has ever seen. The Rock was so incredible that he made running through the ropes two times one of the biggest moves in the business. From his mic skills to his in-ring work, he provided fans with everything during the Attitude era. Which is one of the major reasons his Hollywood career has also popped off into the stratosphere.

Now though, Dwayne Johnson is busy with his Hollywood commitments and rarely talks about WWE or the current superstars. So, it comes as a huge deal when he mentioned one of the most popular superstars in the ring and praised him above everyone else working.

Dwayne Johnson praised Montez Ford’s athleticism and charisma

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, on the red carpet of his new movie DC League of Super-Pets, when the interview brought up Montez Ford, DJ said, “I love that guy, I love his energy, I love his charisma, I love his work ethic. In the world of pro wrestling, there’s nothing like the world of pro wrestling. It’s very unique, it’s also a business; professional wrestling, WWE, it’s in my blood. It’s my passion, I love it.”

“A guy like him, he’s worked his butt off, and by the way, they all do everybody in that locker room, the men, the women but him, in particular, he’s got great athleticism, he’s the total package.”

This isn’t even the first time that Dwayne Johnson has expressed his praise for the former Raw Tag Team Champion. Back in February of this year, DJ posted a clip of Montez Ford talking about ‘The Great One’ on Instagram.

And the ET interview being the second mention from Dwayne Johnson himself is likely to boost Ford’s chances at a future World Championship title match. And even win his first world title in a few years. Just like his equally talented wife, Bianca Belair.

Montez Ford and his partner, Angelo Dawkins just put on a classic tag team match against The Usos at Money in the Bank, which many are calling the best tag team match in years. And the duo has another match stacked up on the biggest party of the summer, SummerSlam for a rematch with WWE Legend Jeff Jarrett as the special guest referee.
