When it comes to the world of wrestling, a select few have achieved the heights of stardom as compared to legendary Dwayne Johnson. Popularly known as ‘The Rock’, he was born in 1972 to former professional wrestler Rocky Johnson and wife Ata Johnson. The latter formed part of the first black tag team champions in WWE history, with Tony Atlas.

But when it comes to the WWE, The Rock exceeded the benchmark set by his predecessors. Since making his WWF debut in 1996, Johnson has gone on to establish himself as one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. In fact, several WWE fans would place The Rock on their “Mount Rushmore of Pro Wrestling”, alongside the likes of Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and John Cena.
