Trump and McMahon go way back as the former US president hosted two WrestleMania events in the 1980s and feuded with McMahon in the 2000s. He’s also been in touch with the People’s Champion, who has publicly thanked TKO and WWE executives for his addition to the Board of Directors. Cena was quoted on the Howard Stern Show saying, “The whole thing is super unfortunate and it sucks.” Neither of the two stars has openly said anything negative about their former boss, and now you know why. In a way, Vince McMahon has played a direct role in propelling Dwayne Johnson to superstardom in his professional career. So it is understandable why the WWE star and former WWE president keep in touch with each other, considering the bond that they have forged over the years. Despite being erased from the annals of WWE history, Vince McMahon is gearing up for a new challenge according to reports. Reports have suggested that the former WWE president could look to launch a new wrestling promotion after his one-year non-compete clause ends in January 2025. Wrestling fans will have to wait and see how that develops. Despite his strong relationship with Cena and Johnson, the chances of them embracing this would remain low. What do you think about The Rock and Cena still talking to McMahon? Tell us in the comments.
