Every WWE PPV is incomplete without Legends and Megastars and Hall of Famers. Hence, WrestleMania 38 will also feature some big names such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker. But, could it also feature The Rock?

Recently, Dwayne Johnson may have dropped a subtle hint on social media about the possibility of him being at WrestleMania 38. When he was thanking Calvin Walkins for appreciating XFL, Johnson revealed he’ll be soon heading towards Texas.

And, where is Wrestleamania 38 happening? Dallas, Texas!

Of course, he didn’t confirm anything and neither has the company said anything about his potential return. However, the WWE fans have remained optimistic ever since John Cena and Brock Lesnar have returned to the company at Money in the Bank and SummerSlam 2021 respectively.

The Rock has a specific reason for not coming back to WWE

Previously when Johnson was asked about his potential WWE return, he expressed his interest but also stated his concern.

He believes that Vince McMahon would want him to come back for a longer term than just one PPV. For example, he comes back at one WrestleMania, wins a title, goes back and forth throughout the year, comes back at the following year’s WrestleMania, and finally loses it.

Now, as interesting as it sounds, this is something The Rock cannot afford. His schedule is extremely packed and there is barely any room for a proper WWE schedule. He can definitely make room for one appearance at one PPV.

Given the circumstances and the surprises, that appearance could very well be at the upcoming WrestleMania 38.

Considering Stone Cold Steve Austin’s last match was against The People’s Champ, and Stone Cold returning at WrestleMania 38, it does look like the perfect opportunity.

On the other hand, quite a few believe that The Rock’s best return would be against Roman Reigns. At WrestleMania 38, Reigns will be busy taking on Brock Lesnar. Additionally, WWE wouldn’t want to overshadow all the WrestleMania matches and segments with The Rock’s return.
