What’s a little white lie when it can help one make friends? This is a strategy that young Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, followed when he was growing up.

Now, it goes without saying that The Rock wasn’t an average teenager in terms of his physical appearance. He was bigger than the boys his age. As a result, he appeared older than he actually was. So, he would often have women approach him, and woo him!

Now, this was shown during an episode of Young Rock, but in that, The Rock’s character admitted that he was fifteen. However, Dwayne Johnson revealed that he wouldn’t actually admit it most of the time while growing up, and would continue the conversation with the women.

Of course, an adult would think that’s wrong, but let’s face it, he was just a fifteen-year-old!

The Rock was mistaken for an undercover cop in high school

As mentioned, The People’s Champ wasn’t the average teenager. He was bigger, taller, and looked older.

Now, while he was growing up, he attended a few high schools such as Hawaii, Nashville, and others. In all of those high schools, his peers thought he was an undercover cop.

Keeping that in mind, some would steer clear of him lest he narcs on them. But, he also experienced a very different life than average teenage boys because of the family he came from.

He was around muscular men who were hanging out at bars, and breaking bones in the ring from a very young age. In fact, Young Rock is a series that embodies all of his experiences while growing up.

Therefore, the fact that he matured earlier or grew up different from other boys his age isn’t an absolute shocker. But of course, anyone who saw him for the first time could never accurately guess his age.

Keeping aside his focus on Young Rock’s production, Dwayne Johnson is busy with his other businesses too – ZOA Energy, Teremana Tequila, and the XFL.
