Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Set to Pay a Painful Price for Slapping Cody Rhodes, Claims Analyst

WWE Tag team legend Bully Ray spoke about the Elimination Chamber and WWE’s Road to WrestleMania. In the podcast available on Spotify titled Will Seth Betray Cody? on 26th February, Bully Ray aka Bubba Ray Dudley expressed his opinion on the beef between Cody Rhodes and The Rock. From what started on a podcast with Pat McAfee, ended with a slap at the WM press conference. Now, Bully Ray has joined the force, demanding Cody Rhodes give Johnson a befitting reply.

Bully Ray wants Cody Rhodes to send a receipt to The Rock

Bully Ray said, “Here’s the new evidence we have in front of us. Cody acknowledged the slap. remember when I said or what I brought up ‘I need to see that receipt’ I wanna see Cody Rhodes smack the terra-mani taste out of The Rock’s mouth. I need to see that receipt coz I think it’s gonna do Cody a world of good.”

The moment in reference happened at the WrestleMania kick-off press conference on 8th February when The Rock slapped Cody Rhodes in front of millions of fans watching the promo show. The slap not only turned The Rock heel, his first in 21 years but also solidified the main event for WrestleMania XL.

Since then, The Rock has aligned himself with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline, making it official on SmackDown on February 18th.

The news may have disappointed a few fans who were to see The Rock wrestle again. But The Rock was quick to address the issue and blame it on the Cody crybabies who forced WWE to skip a dream match between Roman Reigns and The Rock. But can we expect a last-minute change on the cards here? Well, Bully Ray has an answer for that as well.

The creative team under the reign of Triple H has been very consistent in addressing the demands of fans. While the fans were eager to see The Rock return to WWE, they were equally disappointed by The Rock hijacking The American Nightmare’s moment. However, a flexible WWE immediately made a last-minute change to give fans what they wanted. Addressing the issue, Bully Ray said, “This creative has been very fluid and can change at any time. But the closer we get to Wrestlemania, I don’t think they are gonna change much.”
