Edge was in the main event match for the night against ‘The Head of the Table’ Roman Reigns in a one-on-one bout for the coveted Universal Championship, but he got robbed when Seth Rollins interfered in the match.

Rollins had lost the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match earlier that night and took his frustration out on Edge in the main event of the PPV.

Edge thanks his fans and promises to keep moving forward in his journey

The Rated-R Superstar might have lost the title match, but he is glad to share the epic battle in front of the capacity crowd at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

The former champ wrote an emotional Instagram post, thanking all the WWE Universe claiming that he feels like “an 18 wheeler truck” ran over him. He promised that he will give everything he’s got no matter the result.

What a week. Feel like I got run over by an 18 wheeler carrying elephants. But having all of you back screaming your heads off was the reminder that, for me, this is the best job in the world. And no matter the outcome, just know that when I’m in there, there’s no phoning it in, I’ll give ya everything I have. Which is so much easier to do when I can hear all of you. Let’s keep moving! Edge wrote.

After Rollins interfered, Edge and Rollins fought their battle through the crowd and all the way backstage. Since then, he has not released his displeasure about the match’s outcome.

The WWE Universe still wants to see what happens next with the Universal title, who is up for grabs for it. Clearly, John Cena has challenged ‘The Head of the Table’ for the title.
