However, much to the surprise of many, it’s neither of the regular competing superstars that have secured the first stop. According to Wrestle Ops, Bad Bunny is the most searched wrestler in the past year, from August 2022 to July 2023.

This is an astonishing achievement for the artist-turned-wrestler who has overtaken probably the biggest names in WWE history.

While Cena makes sporadic appearances, his global appeal leads him to the top 2. But to beat Roman Reigns who has been involved in the biggest storyline in the last few years, with The Bloodline, and the man who’s held the Universal Championship for over 1000 days is a massive accomplishment. 

But how exactly has his WWE journey transpired?

Bad Bunny is unstoppable at No.1

The $88 million worth artist is already a popular figure in the music world. Having worked and collaborated with artists like Drake, and Cardi B among others, Bunny has constantly featured in the Billboard Top 100.

Making his mark in WWE, the superstar has made huge wave lengths ever since his debut in 2021. However, over the last year, his popularity has grown among WWE fans.

Bunny made a major statement at Backlash when he defeated current Money in the Bank winner, Damien Priest at his native in Puerto Rico. He beat him in a brutal San Juan street fight with the help of Rey Mysterio and the returning Carlito.

While his next return is not certain, fans can’t wait to see how Bad Bunny entertains them in the coming year and if he keeps the prestigious top stop next year as well.
