The road to WrestleMania is finally in full gear right now. But while there is Elimination Chamber in this era of WWE, we used to have No Way Out. Not only did we get amazing matches, but it was equally filled with high-stakes bouts for the coming WrestleMania of the year.

So, it’s no surprise that The Undertaker, one of the biggest legends in the game, went to have a classic with another wrestling legend on this same day. That legend was none other than Olympic gold medalist, Kurt Angle. The two had an absolute classic in the ring at No Way Out 2006.

Fighting for the World Championship, the two went at each other, creating magic. Now, 17 years later, the legends are reminiscing about the match and the fans can’t help but fall into nostalgia, thinking about these two.

The Undertaker praises his past opponent and the fans rally behind

When Kurt Angle shared a clip of their No Way Out match, reminiscing about the old days, The Undertaker respectfully responded to it. Tweeting, “I always enjoyed facing @RealKurtAngle! A rare talent that could make you laugh hysterically backstage, but you had better lace up you boots tight before stepping in the ring with him…he could go!!!!

Two great legends in the business going at it, and the WWE Universe all loved it.

Legends speaking their own stories really makes these memories special for them and the fans.

Many fans seem to believe in this sentiment as well.

With Kurt Angle being one of the best technical wrestlers, Taker had to bring his A-game as well.

It would have been another classic for WrestleMania that year.

It still feels weird for The Undertaker to tweet something like this.

This just goes to show how much the people adore Taker even after his retirement. Also, if we were to sit and count all of the classic moments and matches that the Deadman has given us, we’d be here for a long time. While we might not see him again in the ring, Taker has done enough for this industry and its fans to be memorialized as an icon forever.
