The wrestling world never ceases to amaze its fans. The advent of social media might have hampered good storytelling, but it certainly is not dead. Followers from the past would recognize how kayfabe was an essential part of the whole business.
There was a legitimate injury concern for WWE superstar Seth Rollins in last week’s edition of Monday Night Raw. The performer seemed to have tweaked his knee during a US championship match. Recent reports and Rollins’ appearance this week on the show have given some hope.
The former Shield member is one of the most popular names on the roster currently. His in-ring prowess and impressive mic skills have earned him quite the fandom.

However, those enthusiasts were in for a worrisome week as the veteran appeared to have some problem with his knee. A recent report from PWInsider has provided an update on Rollins’s injury.
The injury issues for Seth Rollins addressed
The performer came out on the red brand to confront Theory. While he arrived on crutches, he made it quite evident that he was just fine and it was all part of an elaborate plan. He wasn’t the only one that appeared in this week’s episode.
The Almighty Bobby Lashley made a surprise entry to the ring and attacked the US champion. All of them have set their eyes on the upcoming Royal Rumble match.

The trio competed in a Triple Threat match at Survivor Series Wargames. The fast-paced encounter impressed many with its quality. Rollins not being really injured does not bode well for the rest of the competitors in the yearly mega-match.
A main event push for the seasoned wrestler does not look far behind. Particularly with his former teammate, Roman Reigns sitting atop the proverbial mountain.
Fans react to the recent update
Fans reacted positively to the news that Rollins’s injury was part of a storyline. While some were relieved, others claimed to have an understanding of what was going on. Many of them took to social media in order to let their emotions known.

Either way, this was a great way to build up excitement in the ongoing feud. This looks straight out of a page from the Attitude Era of the 90s, something Stone Cold would be proud of. Both the promotion and the wrestler deserve plaudits for their work.
