John Cena is a certified legend when it comes to professional wrestling. His long relationship with WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella ended up in 2018, to the shock of many. The 16-time world champion once opened up about how his parting ways with Bella led him to do something that he hadn’t done in years. The former couple were the trailblazers in their divisions. While The Cenation Leader dominated in the squared circle for years, Bella was a top women superstar in the promotion. They were the cornerstone of many fans’ eyes which was why it was saddening to see the duo call off their engagement. In a previous appearance with TODAY, Cena opened up on the high-profile separation. He talked about how he had not holidayed for 15 years.

John Cena once opened up about the breakup

He said, “There’s been a lot of speculation recently about me being seen in public. And everyone’s thinking oh John Cena is enjoying the single life. No, I was supposed to be married and have a honeymoon over these two weeks, first time in 15 years that I’m taking a vacation, I’m in my house, alone surrounded by these emotions these strong memories, and every day from 6 to 9, I get out of the house and talk to strangers as social interaction“.

It was admittedly quite emotional for Cena to call off the engagement with Bella. He has since found love elsewhere, marrying Shay Shariatzadeh back in 2020.

She was in attendance as John Cena competed in the last SmackDown of the year. He teamed up with The Prizefighter Kevin Owens to beat The Bloodline duo of Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn in a tag team encounter.

The Doctor Of Thuganomics was undoubtedly at his peak during the 2000s and 2010s. His epic battles against The Viper Randy Orton and the late great Umaga are still popular among many. Cena and Bella were regularly seen in the WWE programming Total Divas and later Total Bella.

John Cena and Nikki Bella were quite a popular couple back in the day. The news of their parting ways was not received well among fans. However, both have since moved on from the despair. It would be heartwarming for Cena’s fans to learn about his ordeal from the breakup. But they would be happy about the fact that he had come out of it now.
