Knowing the family of Second-generation Superstar, Tamina

We all know Tamina is a second-generation superstar. Her father is none other than WWE Hall of Famer, Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka. For those unaware, Jimmy Snuka was a part of the WWF roster in the 80s and early 90s.

Jimmy Snuka had two runs in the World Wrestling Federation. His first run saw him rise to stardom, while his second run saw him put over younger talent.

It was during this second reign that he put over The Undertaker at WrestleMania VI, marking the beginning of his infamous undefeated WrestleMania streak.

‘Superfly’ challenged for the WWF and Intercontinental Championship several times in his career. In fact, his infamous leap off the steel cage at Madison Square Garden in June 1982 is still fresh in the minds of older wrestling fans. We can say Jimmy was the first high-flying daredevil!

Although Jimmy Snuka faced the who’s who of pro wrestling, he never tasted championship success in Vince McMahon’s promotion. However, he was honored for his time in the company in 1996 when he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Jimmy Snuka’s son, and Tamina’s brother, Deuce, became the first Snuka to win a championship in WWE. He won the WWE World Tag Team Championship alongside his partner Domino in the mid-2000s. That was the only title win for the Snuka’s until Tamina added her gold to the list.

Tamina made her WWE debut on May 24, 2010, with The Usos and attacked Natalya and The Hart Foundation. Now, fast-forward 11 years later or 4008 days later, Tamina has won her first Women’s Tag Team Championship with Natalya, the same woman she attacked on her debut.
