When it comes to the WWE, unlikely friendships are not unusual. People from all walks of life and belonging to different backgrounds come to the promised land to find a new career. This is where an ex-WNBA star can be friends with the daughter of the legend, Dwayne Johnson.

People want to be your friend when you belong to one of the most famous families in the WWE. This is what Ava Raine is getting to learn during her time at NXT. 

Ava Raine gets a new photographer, Lash Legend

Raine made her NXT debut in October of 2022. She aligned herself with Joe Gracy’s stable Schism. Her in-ring debut came the year after at the third annual Stand & Deliver event. Despite training hard, Schism would lose to Chase University. A few months later, she would pick up the win on Ivy Nile. During this time, she became close with fellow NXT wrestler Lash Legend.

In multiple instances, she tweeted about Legend being her favorite person. Recently taking to Instagram, she posted an image that Legend took. This goes to show the closeness the two NXT wrestlers have. The image had captions and photography credits to Legend. It was her 22nd birthday recently, on the 14th of August. 

Signing with the WWE before Raine, Legend made her backstage debut in September 2021. It wouldn’t be till December of the same year that Legend would make her in-ring debut. Although their paths have not crossed yet, Raine and Legend spend quite some time training together as they did in the performance center.

Fans of the two rising stars would like to see them square off someday with their storylines intertwining. However, as the two are still green, it will take some time to get over with the fans and establish names for themselves. Meanwhile, they are getting into feuds and living up to their family name. 

The pressure of being the fourth-generation member of the Anoa’i family 

For hardcore wrestling fans, the Anoa’i family is a legacy family in the WWE. Producing names like Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Rikishi, Yokozuna, The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, and many more. Being the daughter of Dwayne Johnson, Raine has some massive shoes to fill in the WWE. While she clarified that she wanted to escape his shadow, the family legacy would constantly push her to improve. 

Her father has made it clear on social media that he is proud that his daughter is taking forward the family legacy. Despite being on NXT, she is already picking fights with main roster stars like Rhea Ripley. Schism and Judgment Day are quite similar in how they operate, and fans have dreamed of seeing a match between the two heel factions for complete dominance.
