“Excited What the Future Brings”: Dwayne Johnson and Henry Cavill’s 6-Year-Old Meeting May Finally Come To Fruition

Dwayne Johnson is synonymous with wrestling. But nowadays, his time in Hollywood has seen him turn into a movie star as well. While you can regularly see him with Kevin Hart, Emily Blunt, or other co-actors, it is rare to see him with another big blockbuster action hero.

The current Superhero in the movies, Henry Cavill, is one of the biggest stars in the 21st century. Not only did he nab the role of Superman, he also depicts the chivalrous Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s live adaptation of The Witcher. And as DJ is going to be in DC, it feels natural to see the two together in a movie.

The Rock had posted his photo in December 2016. During the early development of SHAZAM!, there were reports that Dwayne Johnson would be portraying the character of the Black Adam as a villain.

But in 2017, the producers revealed they would be giving Dwayne Johnson his own solo origin movie. While they declared December 2021 as the release date, the pandemic situation delayed it.

Since then, DC has released a trailer and also announced the official date. The movie will premiere on October 21, 2022.

Can we see Henry Cavill and Dwayne Johnson in Black Adam?

While it is very tricky to predict anything without more than just one trailer, Superman appearing in the movies can occur. We see in the trailer that Black Adam is out to shape the justice of the world in his image after his imprisonment. But we do not see the full cast of the Justice Society of America.

As we know in the comics, Superman is the one who sits at the top with the other two, Batman and Wonder Woman at his side. So seeing Doctor Fate, Cyclone, Atom Smasher and Hawkman should give the implication that after the events of Justice League (2019) or the Snyder’s Cut (2021), Superman formed the League.

This would mean that if the heroes mentioned above are not able to pummel down Black Adam alone, someone will have to come and rescue them. This responsibility falls directly to the higher-ups.
