EXCLUSIVE: CM Punk’s Hallmark ‘Hottest Free Agent’ Title in Contention by the Bayley Superfan Izzy Moreno Who Wants to “Take That Title”

CM Punk‘s WWE return has got the whole wrestling industry abuzz. For days following his appearance at Survivor Series, Punk hadn’t signed with either of WWE’s brands. This combined with him previously being released from AEW in September gave him the title of ‘the hottest free agent’. But now that Punk made up his mind and signed onto Raw on their latest episode, it seems that Izzy Moreno is vying for the title previously held by the Best in the World.

In an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports, the 16-year-old female wrestler and “Bayley Superfan” has openly contested Punk for this title recently. Even though right now she is not on the same professional level as Punk, she is waiting to get to her legal age and snatch away the male wrestler’s title.

CM Punk’s admirer challenges him for this title

Speaking exclusively with EssentiallySports, the young talent revealed how the coming year would be a big deal for her wrestling run, especially as she made her official debut this year. When asked whether she was vying for the title, the Bayley super fan revealed that among all the male wrestlers, CM Punk is her favorite. So much so, that she gets excited to see him on screen to this day.

She started by confessing, “See, I have always been such a big fan of him, and I really, really like him. He’s the one wrestler that I still get excited for.” Then, Moreno shifted to the ‘hottest free agent’ moniker and continued, “I love CM Punk. He’s definitely the hottest and I’m not tryna compete with him but when I hit 18, I think I’ll take that title.”

Once the budding wrestler is old enough to join bigger promotions, she could come after her idol and maybe defeat him to get over with the fans. However, for now, there is a lot of time in hand before this scenario can come into play.

Though Punk doesn’t hold the title anymore, it remains ripe for Moreno’s picking. Meanwhile, Punk already seems to be coveting another title, just days after choosing his brand.

As we all know by now, The Best in the World didn’t choose a brand to sign with for many days. On the latest Monday Night Raw episode last week, he showed up only to confirm that he would sign with the red brand. But when he called it his ‘home’, Seth Rollins didn’t seem too thrilled about it.

So, for now, it appears that Punk will be facing the World Heavyweight Champion soon. So while Moreno hopes to snatch the title of ‘hottest free agent’, we may also see Punk try to wrestle the WHC title from out of Rollins’ hands. What do you think about Moreno’s career so far?
