An action-packed WWE Night of Champions went down in Saudi Arabia. Among all the matches on the card, the tag team title match involving The Bloodline members was the apex of the night, with fans largely anticipating some shocking turn in the epic saga. They proved to be right when WWE pulled off a crazy finish to the event, with Jimmy Uso turning on his Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, during their Undisputed tag team championship match.

After some initial trash talk between Reigns and Zayn, Solo Sikoa started to operate in his dominant mode, launching a series of punches and chops at Sami. Solo then tagged Reigns who maintained the dominance as well. After the best display of aggression from both sides for some time, the Enforcer of The Bloodline along with his Tribal Chief almost got hold of the match.

But Zayn and Owens soon turned the tables, with The Prizefighter looking to slam Reigns through a table, however Usos suddenly appeared to help Reigns-Sikoa. After taking care of Owens, they accidentally super-kicked Sikoa right after. This led to an angry Roman Reigns confronting and insulting the Usos. It finally ended with Jimmy hitting Reigns with two super kicks back to back, causing the Owens-Zayn duo to pick up the win easily.

While the entire WWE Universe fell shell-shocked by witnessing the shocking turn of events, it didn’t come out of the blue.

The reasons why Jimmy Uso’s betrayal of Roman Reigns made perfect sense

The issues between Usos and the Tribal Chief were cooking for a long time. Then two consecutive title losses of The Usos at WrestleMania and Backlash enraged Reigns even more. It led him to snub them in the Night Of Champions tag team match and even to confront them multiple times.

Jimmy Uso had had enough before finally standing up to Reigns while addressing himself as the new Tribal Chief at this week’s SmackDown.

It completely made sense for Jimmy to be the first family member to turn on Reigns with a bang, given that he already fell from the good grace of The Head of the Table.

WWE’s teasing of a major shift in The Bloodline for months finally had its first step. It was perhaps meant to set up Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa vs The Usos at SummerSlam or Money in the Bank.

Last but not least, Jimmy turning on Reigns was a more than perfect way to wrap up Sami Zayn’s saga with the faction. Reigns might remain the Undisputed Champion nevertheless, the former honorary Uce got the satisfaction of standing tall over him and watching his rival’s faction crumbling.

Now, we can’t wait to see what more twists WWE has in store regarding the Anoai family saga in the coming days.
