WWE Set To Announce A Unique Stipulation To Seth Rollins vs Rey Mysterio

According to recent reports on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio is set to face arch nemesis Seth Rollins in another ‘first of its kind’ match.

The feud between Mysterio and Rollins is the most talked-about storyline right now.

The ‘Monday Night Messiah’ has been taking it too far. He broke the last straw when he damaged Rey Mysterio’s eye by banging his head on the edge of the steel steps.

Determined to exact revenge, Rey Mysterio has been participating in various segments with Rollins from home, where he is still recovering from his injuries.

Mysterio’s son Dominik has also become involved in the feud and has managed to take a couple of surprise shots at Rollins.

However, Rey and Dominik were soon cornered by Rollins in a segment and were about to be punished.

Aleister Black and Humber Carillo, however, came to the Mysterios’ rescue. They managed to take down Rollins and his men quickly.

Now, as the feud seems ripe for the plucking, everyone is ready for the showdown.

WWE has yet to confirm Seth Rollins vs Rey Mysterio for Extreme Rules

According to Dave Meltzer, the match will not be an ordinary one, but an ‘Eye for an Eye Match’.

The winner of this match will be determined by whoever gets the opponent’s eye. This probably means damaging the eye, not actually taking it out like in Kill Bill. 

As far as the storyline goes, we sure are curious to see how this one unfolds. WWE hasn’t confirmed anything about the match yet, however, so a change in plans can also be expected.

The main concern about Rey Mysterio has recently been brought to light. He has reportedly been working with WWE without a contract. The contract he signed in September 2018 has reportedly expired.

What this means for the Superstar’s continuation with WWE is uncertain. If talk of a contract extension does not come up anytime soon, we can expect this to be his final storyline in WWE.

We await WWE to make a statement or announce the big climax to a long and interesting storyline. Either way, Mysterio will want his revenge, in kind.
