Finn Balor Reveals the Origins of His ‘Demon’ Alter-Ego on WWE SmackDown

Finn Balor is one of the most unique WWE superstars to have graced the ring in recent memory. The first-ever Universal Champion has two personalities that carried him in his matches throughout his pro-wrestling journey.

His alter ego, the ‘Demon King’, is a force to be reckoned with. Whenever Balor turns into the ‘Demon’, his opponents are in for a beat-down.

On tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX from the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, TN, we saw Finn Balor addressing ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns and warned him about disrespecting the Demon King.

During the segment, Balor says that he doesn’t summon the Demon [his alter ego], the Demon summons him. He also says that The Usos are doing no good, but adding fuel to the fire. And in the end, he added that at the ‘Extreme Rules’ PPV, Roman Reigns will face Finn Balor’s alter ego: The Demon King.

“I don’t summon the ‘Demon’, the Demon summons me. Now, Roman and his cousins dare to disrespect. It’s just adding fuel to the fire. But Roman will see that the fire that burns inside of me burns much brighter than the fire all around me. You are lucky at the face of Finn Balor, the challenger. At Extreme Rules, you will see the face of the Demon, the Universal Champion.”

Ever since John Cena lost his chance at Reigns’s WWE Universal Championship, Finn Balor has entered a boiling feud with ‘The Head of the Table’.

Finn Balor has an impeccable record whenever he turns himself into the Demon King. He became the first-ever WWE Universal Champion as the Demon by beating Seth Rollins at SummerSlam 2016. Balor has also picked up wins over the likes of Bray Wyatt, Baron Corbin, Andrade, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles as the Demon King.
