Dwayne Johnson has featured in numerous blockbuster films. He is arguably the most successful actor in Hollywood. However, there was a time when he thought up a rather peculiar movie idea, one in which he would find himself being elevated by a dainty Hollywood star.

The star in question is Jungle Cruise actress Emily Blunt. The duo discussed the unusual film concept in 2021 during the promotion of their film, Jungle Cruise. During an interview, Emily Blunt explained the hilarious plotline for the film.

While speaking to IGN in 2021, Emily Blunt and The Rock pitched their dream Disney ride movies. Blunt explained what the plot for the film “The Rocking Rollercoaster” would entail. She went on to explain that the film would follow Dwayne Johnson’s journey on a roller coaster. Blunt also explained how Johnson would get sick during the ride and try not to throw up.

She also revealed that the film would also feature the American Rock band Aerosmith sharing the ride with The Rock. While Aerosmith performs their song “Amazing,” the camera captures Johnson, throwing up in slow motion.

However, the most unusual aspect of the plot would involve Emily Blunt, playing the role of the Angel of Mercy, lifting Dwayne Johnson. She said, “I flew in and I just lift Dwayne Johnson up and sort of fly off and I drop him into the ocean.” Of course, the plot was not real, and the idea was created out of humor. But imagine if Johnson and Blunt had really gone forward with the concept.

It would be nothing less than hilarious and lighthearted. Off-topic, Dwayne Johnson once praised Emily Blunt and called her super talented. Shifting gears, Dwayne Johnson’s Jungle Cruise did not garner as much attention as it expected in its theatrical run.

Despite their sizing chemistry both on and off the screen, Jungle Cruise failed to create the part required. The film follows the journey of Dr. Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt), who joins her brother to team up with a skipper, Frank. They set out on a quest to search for a mystical tree in the Amazon forest. However, they are soon followed by evil forces that are looking to obtain immortality. 

The action/adventure film was inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean. However, despite the noise around the film ahead of its release, it bombed in theaters. With an eye-popping budget of $200 million, the film only managed to earn $221 million worldwide.
