Five Times John Cena Showed His Unconditional Love for BTS

John Cena is a huge BTS fan. He has never not taken the opportunity to praise the band, and actively be a part of the BTS Army.

Now, Cena has not only used social media to praise BTS, but has opened up about his love for them during interviews as well.

Here are 5 times when John Cena showed his affection and admiration for BTS

1. Explains how BTS helped him

On April 5th, 2018, John Cena appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. During that show, he spoke about the two self-love books he wrote – one for children and one for adults.

However, he revealed that it was BTS’s “Love Yourself” album which helped him fight his own battles. Following that, he used Twitter as a platform to spread love and encourage his fans and followers to put themselves first.

2. Uniting the fans across the globe

On April 11th, 2018, John Cena posted a picture on Instagram about his love for BTS.

However, this one wasn’t just about appreciating BTS, but also uniting the two fanbases – Korean and International.

3. Wants to be their body guard

On July 11th, 2018, The Champ took to social media to ask if BTS was looking for a bodyguard. It would work out perfectly, considering Cena knows how to throw a punch.

Interestingly, he played it on the ‘John Cena is invisible’ joke when he claimed the band members cannot see him!

4. John Cena details why he loves BTS

In September 2020, The Champ arrived on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. During this interview, he revealed why he holds so much admiration and love for the band.

“I love what this band has done because they are this massively popular thing. And, they’ve been so globally popular for so long. I was like ‘okay, I should probably know about this’. When I started to look at BTS and listen to their music, I was originally drawn because there are rappers in their crew… I got interested in their music and then I got interested in what the music stood for.”

He revealed that he absolutely loves that the band advocates self-love and helps their fans through difficult obstacles with their music.

5. Reveals favorite BTS members

On January 11th, 2022, The Champ once again appeared as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. During his interview, there was a segment where Cena had to answer randomly generated questions.

One of the questions was about who his favourite BTS members are. As per the revelation, his favorite BTS members are RM and J-Hope.

There needs to be a day when John Cena and BTS share the stage and create some musical magic!
