The news of Bill Goldberg’s tour has already made headlines a few days back when the legend spoke about it in one interview. The legend expressed his wish to go on a retirement tour, which doesn’t appear to go well with the former Raw general manager. Goldberg is planning to hang his boots once and for all, but with a send-off that his ever-green character deserves. But Eric Bischoff isn’t on board with the idea. And thus, to make his point, the legend drew a critical comparison between The Nature Boy and Goldberg
Eric Bischoff spoke his mind on the retirement tour of Bill Goldberg while comparing him to Ric Flair
Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff addressed the matter of Goldberg’s imminent retirement tour. He also explained that it isn’t a good idea for the legend as he isn’t as popular as Ric Flair.

He said, “There’s not generations of Bill Goldberg fans out there, there are generations of Ric Flair fans out there, Ric Flair is arguably as popular today in many respects. Bill, comparatively speaking has been in the business for five minutes when you compare him to someone like Ric Flair. I hope he gets a lot of money upfront, let’s just put it that way.”

With this, it seems that Bischoff thinks Goldberg isn’t as popular as Flair and that he shouldn’t consider planning a retirement tour for now. Bischoff is also confused about why Goldberg is doing this tour in the first place.
Bischoff talked about Goldberg’s financial needs as well
In the podcast, the former RAW general manager also spoke about the financial condition of Bill Goldberg. Adding to that, he also shared his opinion of it. He said, “If he doesn’t need the money and I can’t imagine that he does, I don’t know why he’d do it.”

Bischoff has a different opinion of Goldberg and perhaps doesn’t want him to go on a retirement tour just yet. A few weeks ago, he also pitched the former WCW World Champion to face CM Punk at AEW’s London pay-per-view All In.
However, now it remains to be seen if Goldberg’s desired retirement tour actually turns into a reality or not.
