Underutilizing promising superstars is a very common criticism WWE has been drawing for a long. It isn’t obviously possible for the company to push every exceptional performer at one time, however, there are certain stars whose booking has been questionable despite their in-ring work. Some of those include Cesaro, Ricochet, Mustafa Ali, Shayna Baszler, Owen Hart, and a lot more.

According to the former WCW superstar, Konnan there will be an addition to the list. The 50-year-old believes current SmackDown star LA Knight has been criminally under-used in the promotion so far. He recently called out the company officials for missing out on an incredible talent like Knight.

Konnan wasn’t on very good terms with the Stamford-based company. However, the ice seemed to have melted on both sides ever since Triple H took charge of the creative. The former WCW legend has even been seen in the company’s arena during the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony a month ago. He was an honorable invitee for inducting Rey Mysterio into the prestigious Hall of Fame.

However, his mended relationship with WWE couldn’t get in his way of speaking the truth. Konnan believes WWE has been pretty indifferent towards the stars like Karrion Kross and LA Knight.

During the latest episode of his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan shared his thoughts on Knight saying, “I don’t know why you’d have a guy when it’s so hard to get people over, is over, and you haven’t even pushed him. There are so many great things you can do to make money with him. Why you wouldn’t take advantage of him and try to take his knees out?

Konnan added he sees him as world champion material, saying, “And I could see him as Universal Champion, and if they gave him a proper push like we’ve seen them do when they want to, why not World Champ?”

”He’s a model employee. He’s the type of guy you want. He has ideas. He’s not just waiting around for you to give him ideas. He stays in shape, he’s sharp on his promos and his character,” Konnan added while speaking of former NXT Champion Karrion Kross.

However, Konnan isn’t the only one to take notice of LA Knight’s immense potential

Ted DiBiase heaps praise on LA Knight’s in-ring skill

”The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase recently discussed his experience during his brief NXT run with Knight. While expressing his excitement to be able to be a part of WWE TV after a long time, the former superstar noted that the real prize for him was to get to see the amazing young talents on the roster.

Describing his small encounter with LA Knight in 2021, Dibiase noted, “When L.A. Knight got involved, I saw the skill that he had as well. The focus first was on Cameron Grimes, but I saw the talent in L.A. Knight and I mentioned that to a couple people and they said, ‘Yeah we know.’ This has helped bring that out in him too.”

Now with the Money in the Bank right around the corner, we need to see how things will take shape for one of the fan favorite contenders of the briefcase, LA Knight.
