Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sides With John Cena After Roman Reigns Refuses to Acknowledge Her

Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley is unhappy with ‘The Tribal Chief’. Roman Reigns disregarded Bayley for her efforts during the Thunderdome era.

Producing WWE events when the COVID-19 pandemic engulfed the nation was a tough task. However, the WWE team pulled it off by creating the Thunderdome. Superstars made the most of the virtual set up and put up some amazing performances.

During this era, there were few wrestlers who carried the WWE on their backs and Bayley surely became the pillar of the women’s division.

On July 9, WWE announced Bayley suffered a torn ACL during training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. The injury means she will be out for 9 months.

Bayley will root for John Cena at SummerSlam instead of Roman Reigns

Currently, the WWE Universe is waiting to see two Goliaths of the company settle this rivalry at the SummerSlam. John Cena challenges Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal title.

But before the match, Bayley picked her favorite for the match. She took to Twitter after she uploaded a screenshot of Roman Reigns, turning a blind eye to what Bayley did during the pandemic era.

In the interview, Reigns says that there is no argument about who is the wrestler who carried the company on its back. However, he doesn’t stop there and says that it is a lie that Bayley carried the company.

Surely, this remark from Reigns does not bode well for the WWE Universe and many of her fans took to Twitter to address it.

Bayley was arguably one of the best wrestlers to emerge during the Thunderdome era. She was the SmackDown Women’s Champion and her reign lasted for 380 days, which was more than Reigns’ Universal Championship reign.

Her last match was against Bianca Belair at Hell in a Cell. She challenged Belair for her championship, and their match was the highlight of that night. Unfortunately, she picked up an injury during the match which cost her another title shot at MITB.
