WWE Superstar Roman Reigns is an icon for many upcoming wrestlers. The Universal Champion is highly appreciated by everyone in the wrestling industry.

Recently, ROH’s Mike Bennett (Mike Kanellis in WWE) shared his thoughts about Roman Reigns during his time in WWE. Bennett used to compete in 205 Live during his run for WWE. He opened up about Reigns and how he used to stay in the building to watch WWE 205.

Mike Bennett says Roman Reigns used to stay up late to watch WWE 205

In a recent appearance on ‘That’s 90’s Wrestling Podcast’, Bennett mentioned Roman Reigns. He discussed Reigns’ role backstage, how impressive his role was and how he used to provide genuine feedbacks for the 205 Live locker room.

Bennett said, “I mean, Roman (Reigns) is the best. He’s the man. That dude would watch our 205 Live matches and help us after our matches and would give us good critique. He wouldn’t be like, ‘All you guys are doing too much.’”

“No, he would be genuine and be like, ‘Hey, if you did this but if you took a second longer after you did this, think about how the crowd would react.”

“And you’re like, ‘Oh!’ Genuine critiques to the point where you’re like, ‘Oh, you’re actually watching our matches at 10 o’clock at night when everyone else has left the building. Thank you.’ He’s great.”

Bennett still appreciates Roman Reigns as a heel and he believes that he has learned some lessons about competing in wrestling from WWE. He talked about Reigns’ performance on the SmackDown brand and how he impressive he was.

He said that watching out the Bloodline on the show is quite interesting. Roman Reigns is a top-class wrestler with a good nature and connections in the company. His backstage role is a sign of a true wrestler making him an icon to watch out for.

WWE approaches Crown Jewel

The Universal Champion will defend his title against Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel. The SmackDown Women’s title match will be a triple threat match between Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Bianca Belair. Lastly, Drew McIntyre takes on Big E for the WWE Champion.
