The ‘Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar is one of the unique wrestlers to come out of WWE in recent times. He intrigues the fans in a way that only a handful of his peers can. This naturally brings some perks that are exclusive to only a selected few. And Lesnar is certainly among those privileged performers.

The former UFC Heavyweight champion is not only involved in the decision-making process inside the ring but also holds influence on what happens backstage. A former WWE writer has recently come up with an incident on how Lesnar changed the initial plans regarding himself at WrestleMania 35.

Brock Lesnar used his backstage influence to the fullest

He kicked off the stellar night with a failed defense of his WWE Universal Title against Seth Rollins. And a former writer with the promotion, Dave Schilling has now confirmed that the title match was originally scheduled for much later that night. However, Lesnar got it expedited to leave early for his home.

Schilling recently reviewed the WrestleMania 35 event on Twitter. He discussed this last-minute change in one of his tweets. The former WWE writer posted, Brock and Seth was supposed to semi-main and last minute Brock changed it to the opener so he could go home early. That pushed Lashley and Finn to a spot when the crowd was flatter than a plate full of pi**”.

The main event level match as the first offering at ‘The Showcase of Immortals’ raised quite a few eyebrows at that time as well. Nevertheless, Rollins ended up beating ‘The Conqueror ‘to win his first-ever WWE Universal Title. The alteration of the match card meant that other wrestlers suffered as a result.

Which match replaced the Universal Title match?

‘Demon’ Finn Balor’s encounter against ‘The All Mighty’ Bobby Lashley was a mouth-watering prospect on paper. But according to Schilling, the clash had to be shifted to the semi-main spot to grant Lesnar his wish. This led to the MetLife stadium crowd being flat during the otherwise good match.
