As anticipation builds for WrestleMania 40, the WWE landscape sees another twist in the ongoing saga between Seth Rollins and CM Punk. Initially slated to collide at the grand event, recent developments have led to changes in the card. Unfortunately, both superstars sustained injuries, forcing plans for their showdown to be scrapped. 

In a recent interview, Rollins pointed fingers at Punk’s fitness level, attributing it to the derailment of their WrestleMania 40 plans. What did he say? Let’s find out. 

Seth Rollins shares his views on Punk’s fitness issues

He’ll be back in a year or two till his next injury, I don’t know. I’d love to kick the crap out of him, I’m sure he’d love to get in there and try to do something to me but it’s not going to work.”

Rollins humorously referred to Punk as a weakling compared to himself as a “young stallion.” Nevertheless, he didn’t shoot down the idea of continuing the feud once the Second City Saint returns to fitness later this year.

He was joking about Punk’s injury history and his readiness to compete. However, he also made other comments to wish to stomp Punk at the main event.

Rollins holds some regret at not being able to stomp CM Punk’s”head into the mat”

Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins further went on to say in the interview talking about he wants to hurt CM Punk. Talking to Salcedo, he said, “So am I disappointed? I’d say a little bit only because I really thought if we had an opportunity to do it, stomping his head into the mat would be the best at WrestleMania. Like, would be the best at WrestleMania in front of the biggest audience so little bummed by that.”

He also stated, “But I feel like he’s talking about the greatest comeback of all time, I’ll be happy to stomp out that comeback when the time comes.” It seems like Rollins has his mind set to face Punk whenever he gets back. 

The Visionary has been unhappy since CM Punk’s return to WWE last year at Survivor Series. Fans did celebrate ‘The Best In The World’s’ comeback in Chicago, but the World Heavyweight champion was not happy.
