Former WWE superstar Franky Monet or Taya Valkyrie is officially done with her WWE non-compete. She is officially a free agent and can appear at any wrestling promotion.

WWE released Taya a few weeks ago, citing budget cuts as the reason for the release. The company also released her husband John Morrison a few weeks ago, which sparked a lot of anger from Taya on Twitter.

Before signing to WWE, Valkyrie actively competed in Lucha Libre AAA, her home promotion. On 5th December, she had declared herself as a free agent on Twitter.

A few hours later, she appeared at TripleMania Regia to challenge against the current Reina de Reinas Champion, Deonna Purrazzo. Taya is also a former Reina de Reinas champion. She has held the championship on three different occasions.

Her first reign lasted for 945 days, and her second one was about 71 days. The third time she held the title, she held on to it for 528 days. La Wera Loca vacated it following the WWE signing.

La Wera Loca is one of the greatest female wrestlers in the history of Lucha Libre AAA. She has also found success in other promotions, such as Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground.

The current champion is the #3 on PWI’s best female wrestler of 2021, Deonna Purrazzo.

She has held the strap for 113 days and counting. Purrazzo won the title after beating Faby Apache at TripleMania XXIX.

Taya appeared at TripleMania and sent a simple message to the current champion; she is coming for Reina de Reinas Championship. Upon her virtual return, she was seen in a video package where she called out Deonna.

In the video’s ending, she said, “Oh and Deonna, I think you have something that belongs to me. See you soon.” She just laughed and walked away.

Because of other obligations, La Wera Loca couldn’t be physically present at the event, but she will soon come face-to-face with the champion.

A match between the two ladies would also be a fitting unofficial rematch of Taya’s last match at Impact Wrestling. She challenged Purrazzo for the championship but was unsuccessful in the feat.

Deonna reacted to the challenge on her Twitter account. She said nothing but typed out a couple of emojis.
