CM Punk is undoubtedly one of the most talked about wrestlers in the pro wrestling business. The man made a name for himself in the WWE with his sheer talent and pipebombs. After being released, he moved to the UFC for a short and disappointing stint. He joined AEW in August 2021, which many thought would be where he would wind down the twilight of his career.

However, in August 2023, after the highly anticipated AEW’s Wembley Stadium All In PPV, he was terminated from the company. Following a backstage altercation with Jack Perry, which led to an investigation that resulted in Punk being terminated. Following this termination, everyone wondered which promotion Punk would end up ending.

Despite his controversy in the pro wrestling business, one promotion house has seemingly thrown the former WWE and AEW star an offer. This would be IMPACT wrestling. Taking to social media, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful posted, “IMPACT would welcome CM Punk.”

This prompted a reply from Ibou of WrestlePurists replied: “They reached out to him threw the offer out there.” Punk’s reaction to this or acknowledgment is unknown for now. However, seeing as IMPACT took in Hulk Hogan and propelled him to greater heights, the same career trajectory could be seen in Punk. Nevertheless, IMPACT attaining Punk would lead to a massive win.

CM Punk is the most controversial and hottest superstar

There is no denying that Punk has captivated the audience. Despite his tendency to offend the authority of whichever promotion he is working in, he is still a massive draw. Fans still cheer for him, and promotions know his appearance alone can make them a ton of money.

However, his backstage politics is something that gave him a poor reputation both in the WWE and AEW. This is the reason why he will not be seen in either promotion for the foreseeable future. Triple H of the WWE made it clear why Punk will not be returning, while Tony Khan of AEW made it clear why he was fired.
