WWE Monday Night Raw: January 4th, 2021 was heavily promoted as the Legends Night. It was the company’s way of beginning the new year with huge ratings.

Legends such as Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Mickie James made appearances. Unfortunately, some ex-Superstars including Candice Michelle, Carlito, and Kurt Angle did not attend the event even though their names were advertised by the company.

Candice Michelle made her WWE debut as an eye-candy, but soon stepped up her game to become an in-ring competitor. It wasn’t long before she was engaged in feuds involving Mickie James and Trish Stratus. She defeated Melinda for the Women’s Championship and became a true legend.

Michelle continued to work with the company. Unfortunately, the series of injuries she suffered forced her to slow down and quit WWE.

Coming to Carlito, many WWE fans were looking forward to his presence. In fact, it’s been a while since the rumours of his return have been making rounds. Previously, the company tried to bring Carlito back but could not find mutual grounds with him and the plan was scrapped.

Therefore, when WWE announced his attendance on Legends Night, the assumption was that he will finally return to the company.

‘The Caribbean Bad Apple’s’ absence has come across as upsetting news. His fans were hoping to witness the charismatic Superstar enter a WWE ring once again and probably deliver a characteristically cocky promo.

The last time he appeared in WWE was during his father Carlos Colon’s Hall of Fame ceremony.

As per some reports, Carlito could not attend the event because of travel restrictions.

Finally, Kurt Angle’s name was on the list, but he did not appear. It’s not yet known why he did not make an appearance alongside his peers on WWE’s first event of 2021.

WWE Legend who did not want to be on the list

X-Pac wasn’t on the list, and he did not regret it one bit. During an interview with Wrestling Inc, X-Pac revealed that he does not want to attend WWE events anymore. He has attended several such events and wants the company to stop inviting him.

“Some people are going, ‘Hey, how come you’re not on that?’ It’s because I’m on every other friggin legends thing they ever have. Enough of me and my friends for a while for f–k’s sake.”
