Sasha Banks and Bayley signed with WWE months apart in 2012. During the time, FCW still served as WWE’s developmental territory. Banks and Bayley are best friends in real life, but they didn’t tune together right from the get-go.

The ‘Role Model’ Bayley revealed during The New Day: Feel the Power Podcast a couple of months ago that she and Sasha Banks actually took a while before becoming friends. She said, “Well actually, our personal friendship took longer than anything because we’re such different people.”

Bayley also shared how she and Sasha Banks were thrown in together to have an impromptu five-minute match in FCW in front of all the coaches. She considers that match as the best match she’s ever had, and her admiration for Sasha really grew after working that match.

Both Banks and Bayley worked a million dark matches before their eventual TV debuts and have wrestled a lot of times on NXT and the main roster as well. The best part? Every time these two wrestle, it’s a treat for fans!

Coming back to their friendship, Bayley and Sasha Banks really became friends when they learned they had similar interests growing up. That was the day, and both women haven’t looked back ever since.
