With WWE releasing their star Bray Wyatt aka The Fiend, who was one of the biggest money-makers for the promotion in recent times, it’s natural to think that just about anyone can get fired under these ‘budget cuts’. Amid all the gossip, United States champion Sheamus addressed the world and said that the locker-room atmosphere is better than people think.

No wonder wrestlers and their families are worried and skeptical about these recent releases. After the ‘Black Wednesday’ incident, people thought WWE is done with firing wrestlers, but then the company fired their major superstars.

‘The Celtic Warrior’ says the locker room atmosphere is “good”

Speaking on Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast, Sheamus assured that the morale of superstars and the locker room atmosphere is good, further adding that they all take care of each other, and keep things light.

“I said a while ago, talking about releases, no one ever wants to see releases and I lost a lot of friends, and I said the atmosphere is good. ‘Obviously, Sheamus is lying because how can the atmosphere be good.’ The truth of the matter is, it is good. The lads have a crack, a joke, they rib each other. We’re all slagging each other off.” (H/T: Fightful)

On the same podcast, the Irishman said that the future of the company is bright, and it is full of talented and promising wrestlers that are really raising the bar of their performances day in and day out.

“It’s a good vibe and a lot of good lads in the locker room. The future is bright for the company and there’s a lot of talent. The guys coming in now, and the girls, are super talented.”

Sheamus vouches for Nikki A.S.H.

The United States champion also talked about the women’s division which has been doing fantastic lately. He especially talked about Nikki A.S.H. aka Nikki Cross, and how much work she has put into winning the confidence of the WWE management.

“Look at Nikki Cross winning the Women’s Title. No one deserves that more than her. She’s been up, she’s been down, super nice and super genuine. She works her ass off and has embraced herself with this character,” Sheamus concluded.
