Recently, WWE’s Senior Vice President Bruce Prichard talked about the same on his Something to Wrestle podcast. He shared despite all difficulties, DJ became ‘The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment’. He mentioned how there was a feeling of near resentment about The Rock getting his push.

Prichard said, “Anybody that had been there any length of time, any veteran will look at him and go, ‘Jesus Christ, now why this kid? I’ve been busting my a** here for all these years and that’. It was a general feeling in the locker room, when a lot of or any new guy coming in.”

He added, “As far as dealing with Dwayne Johnson during that time, it was the same Dwayne Johnson that had walked in and had his tryout in Houston, Texas all those years ago and bust his a** in the warehouse. And then got over like died first, went out and sh*t the bed died.”

“I mean, they were chanting ‘Die Rocky Die’, and then returned to make the most of it and became successful. I just think it was jealousy more than anything else,” Brother Love further said.

This is not the first time someone has mentioned Johnson’s initial struggle in WWE. Even a couple of years ago, Mark Henry shared somebody played a disgusting prank on The Rock in his initial days
