Hulk Hogan is known to be one of the few WWE superstars with a rugged physique. Most times, The Hulkster’s opponents looked smaller in front of him in the squared circle.

However, there are few superstars who were taller and stronger than Hogan. One former WWE legend was much taller than the two-times Hall of Famer and no, it’s not Andre the Giant.

A few years ago, a Reddit user shared a picture on the platform. It was of Hulk Hogan flexing with wrestling referee Bill Alfonso and late former WWE superstar Giant Gonzalez.

In a rare picture, Hogan, who is known for his 24-inch biceps, looks tinier than Gonzalez. Moreover, the Argentinian wrestler stands tall beside The Immortal One, which makes Hogan look like a cruiserweight wrestler, even though he is not.

Giant Gonzalez debuted in WWE in the year 1993 at Royal Rumble. Although he had a relatively short WWE career, he was introduced to The Undertaker as The Deadman’s next WrestleMania opponent. Since his in-ring debut, Gonzalez has been the tallest wrestler with a height of 8ft in WWE history so far.

However, Hogan was in his final WWE run in 1993 before joining the WCW. Also, this photo seems to be clicked between January and September, as Gonzalez left WWE in October 1993 and Hogan’s departure came two months after that.

Moreover, this picture gives a hint that both Hogan and Gonzalez were gym buddies. They might have just worked out before clicking this rare picture.

The Hulkster is distinctly remembered for his massive and muscular figure in WWE. Few might be aware that Hogan was not always as brawny as we remember him. 

Before popularizing the mantra of ‘say your prayers, take your vitamins and you will never go wrong’, The Hulkster had a lean physique when he was younger and had just started training for pro wrestling.
