WWE Raw’s Women Champion “The Man” Becky Lynch announced her pregnancy with her fiance, Seth Rollins, on the recent episode of Raw. The news came as a pleasant surprise to both the members of the WWE Universe and the Superstar equally. Becky, in an earlier interview with the People Magazine, had talked about her desire to have kids. She said in the interview:

“I’ve always, always wanted kids. I’m just so career-focused that it became one of those things that, when you’re chasing a dream for so long, I always wondered, ‘Am I going to get around to it? Is it going to happen for me?’”

The WWE Superstars took to Twitter to congratulate Becky and Rollins:

Becky Lynch Relinquishes Title

In an emotional segment on Raw, Becky Lynch revealed her intentions of relinquishing the title. Asuka now holds the title, as she had won the Money In the Bank match. In a heartwarming moment, both the women hugged and exchanged pleasantries after this announcement. It would be interesting to see if Asuka will be a transitional champion to Shayna Baszler, or if she would enjoy a long title reign again. WWE posted the clip of Becky and Asuka after the reveal on their Twitter page:

While the congratulations poured in for Becky, there was someone who did not take kindly to the news.

Becky’s WrestleMania opponent, Shayna Baszler, was trending on Twitter for her harsh and scathing promo about Becky’s Pregnancy. Shayna, in her promo, used brutal insults like “miserable parasite” to describe Becky’s child. Shayna also used anti-pregnancy tropes, as she said, “Reaction? How stupid do you have to be to get knocked up when you’re the champion? Here’s a fact: 10 out of 10 mothers will try to convince you that pregnancy didn’t ruin their careers.”

Shayna continued her attacks, by stating that Becky’s child would “suck”, as they’re the offspring of Seth Rollins. Even though Shayna did not write the promo, it did manage to anger a lot of people. This promo sets up a future match for when Becky returns to the ring, even though the method used might not be the best.
