What happens when two of the most intense pro wrestlers sit down to have a taste of wine? They win the internet. Such is the case with The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

A video from 2020 showed The Texas Rattlesnake and The Deadman sitting down to sip the Undertaker 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon. What followed was an unwitting comedy that left netizens in awe.

The segment was a part of Steve Austin‘s Broken Skull Sessions. It started with Austin quizzing the Phenom about the production of wine. Breaking his usual somber character, The Deadman joked he handpicked each grape that went into the making of the wine as he was focusing on cost-cutting by reducing laborers. Austin recalled his wife’s drinking etiquette and shared how he wasn’t impressed by the customs that precede the sip.

The two stars then smelled the wine and took a sip. The final seal of approval came from Austin, who said, “That is indeed a tasty beverage”.

Meanwhile, a Twitter user fell in love with Austin’s review and asked him to host a show. “Just have them go to every continent sampling finest booze and food. Instant top show.”

While another said, “Just a couple of gods acting like men for the day.”

One person was particularly not fond of the way Austin held the glass but was afraid to point it out to the beer-chugging wrestler.

It was indeed fun to watch two legends having a good laugh over a glass of wine.

Steve Austin declined a controversial storyline featuring The Undertaker

Austin, a 6x WWE champion, once flatly rejected a storyline the promotion offered him, which featured The Deadman. The incident was from 2001 when the WWE wanted the 3x Royal Rumble winner to play a stalker to The Undertaker’s wife.

Diamond Dallas Page, who later bagged that role, told GiveMeSport in 2018 that the WWE couldn’t get anybody to do the part.

Meanwhile, the wacky ‘stalker’ storyline didn’t sit well with the fans and was eventually discontinued. Had Stone Cold accepted the pitch, his career could have turned out very differently as he was still in the initial years of his career.

Despite enjoying a long and successful career in the WWE, The Texas Rattlesnake and The Deadman haven’t had an iconic match. If they agree, it would be fascinating to watch these two legends wrestle it out inside the squared circle.
