WWE SummerSlam witnessed a brutal match between WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and challenger Goldberg. However, the match was cut short when the challenger had to quit because of MVP striking his knee from the back with his stick.

Even though he pulled out, The Almighty wasn’t done. He took a chair and started beating Goldberg with it. His son, Gage, came to his rescue and jumped in the ring to protect his father from Lashley. Maybe Lashley did not realize that was his son, and applied The Hurt Lock on him, hurting him badly.

He only let go when MVP interfered and hurried off with Lashley and the WWE Championship belt after clarifying the champion couldn’t have known it was Goldberg’s son.

Now, Goldberg had already claimed he will kill Lashley for what he did to his son. But now, he clarified exactly what he tends to do with Lashley.

“That dirty son of b*tch, Bobby Lashley, and what he did to my son at SummerSlam. I just left the house. Gage’s shoulders’ all jacked up. His neck hurts. God knows what a dude that size could have done to my son. So, the objectivity’s changed. I’m not coming for the WWE Championship. I’m coming for Bobby Lashley’s soul and I will rip it straight from his chest.”

The rematch could be the last for Goldberg this year

According to Goldberg’s contract, he only has to do a couple of matches a year. Therefore, he’s already done two matches in 2021, and now he will do a third one against Lashley in a rematch.

It’s unlikely he will emerge victorious if there has been no alteration in his contract. The only way he can win is if he continues to work with WWE and extends his contract.
