It was never in the books for Dwayne Johnson to enter the world of acting. After he didn’t succeed in his football career, he decided to embrace his family legacy and joined pro wrestling and joined WWE. To his surprise, Johnson became a mega-star in WWE and an icon for future generations.

Johnson made his debut as a lead actor in 2002 in the movie The Scorpion King, which is a spin-off to The Mummy franchise. He wrestled in WWE for eight years before transitioning into a full-time Hollywood actor.

Recently, WWE Hall of Famer and the three-time WCW World Champion, Diamond Dallas Page, praised Dwayne Johnson in his podcast. He shared a part of it on his Instagram, saying, “Do you guys agree? Catch me on the @pbd.podcast Episode 150! DDP💎.”

DDP praised and thanked Johnson for making it easy for pro-wrestlers to become Hollywood actors. In the video, he said, “He has changed and opened the door for wrestlers as actors. Like people can’t because of wrestling, a lot of people look down their nose. Well guess what Hollywood? The biggest guy in the world is a wrestler and not the guy who walks away from it.”

He added, “Still does so much stuff for us. He’s got a show on TV called Young Rock where he produces as a kid, him as a kid with all wrestlers. He never turns his nose away from all the fans’ base where it all started.”
