Cena’s comeback, this close to WrestleMania 39, could mean he is going to reveal his role at the Showcase of Immortals. As with his return to SmackDown last year, RAW is also set to benefit from the presence of ‘The Doctor of Thuganomics’ pretty soon according to wrestling reporter, Dave Meltzer.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, while Meltzer was reviewing the Monday Night Raw show, he pointed out the recent John Cena announcement. He commented, “They announced John Cena on Monday Night. They’ve sold more than 2000 tickets already as of this morning. So, they’ll probably end up selling out… The guy can move tickets, that is pretty impressive.

Cena’s drawing power even after his status as a part-timer is indeed impressive. This truly showcases the star power the Cenation Leader has in 2023 and there is little doubt as to why WWE will be desperate for him to wrestle at WrestleMania 39.

As of now, there is only one logical person that Cena would wrestle at WrestleMania, Austin Theory. The current US Champion has been teasing the match ever since he won the belt for the first time. Moreover, after winning back the title, the champion has been vocal about his thoughts on Cena.

The fans are clamoring to see The Champ on their screens at WrestleMania goes Hollywood. While there were hints that he was going to face Logan Paul, those have since died down, given that Paul already has his hands full. So, Cena vs Theory seems like the program for the US Championship at the event.

There is a long way for the US Champion to go, but having a one-on-one with Cena would skyrocket him into the mainstream discussion. Given the star power that the 16-time Champion brings, Theory is likely to make headlines as well after WrestleMania 39.
