CM Punk’s return to the WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 is the hottest topic in pro wrestling. Masterfully kept under wraps by Triple H and company, none of the fans expected it until the last minute of the show. The Allstate Arena exploded when Punk’s music hit, thanks to his hometown crowd in attendance. However, one former WWE star decided this would be the right time to poke fun at Punk’s past UFC career.

Matt Riddle calls out CM Punk’s disastrous UFC score
There are many WWE stars like Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley who left the WWE and tried their hand at the UFC. However, these athletes had experience with professional wrestling and combat sports. On the other hand, Punk did not. With no training in MMA, he attempted to enter the world of UFC. Despite training, his run did not end well.

While most of social media was buzzing with the return of Punk in the WWE, Matt Riddle decided it was time to remind them about something. Taking to his social media, Riddle posted a status about Punk’s terrible UFC career score. After leaving the WWE in 2014, Punk debuted at UFC 203 in September 2016.
Hey @WWE you thought I was hard to deal with ? have fun with 0-2 @CMPunk

Despite claiming to have worked hard to train, Punk suffered a horrible 0-2 loss during his time there. This is what Riddle wanted the fans to know. He posted, “Hey @WWE you thought I was hard to deal with ? have fun with 0-2 @CMPunk.” Riddle, a former UFC fighter himself, was released from the WWE on September 22, with his last appearance being on September 4.
While Punk’s return to the WWE has been praised, fans wonder who his next target will be and who he will feud with. As his return happened at the show’s end, there was no tease of who Punk would feud with.

Punk could aim for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Something that fans in attendance at the Allstate Arena shared on social media was Seth Rollins flipping Punk off. This took place off-air when the cameras stopped rolling. You could see Michael Cole trying to hold Rollins back.
This could hint at a future feud where Punk tries to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This could culminate during the Mania season in 2024.
