Seth Rollins will be defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money In The Bank against old foe Finn Balor. Even if he manages to retain the gold, it won’t be safe for long. A WWE legend has announced her intentions of going after Rollins’ title. The Visionary had previously spoken about defending the belt against anyone and from any brand, including NXT.

Now, he has his future challenger in sight. Interestingly enough, this challenger has a bit of history with Rollins, albeit indirectly.

The Visionary was at the WWE’s developmental territory last week. Rollins had started his career in WWE at NXT, and honed his craft there before making his big debut. At NXT Gold Rush, he defended his title against former brand champion Bron Breakker. But he also caught the current champion, Carmelo Hayes, staring at his belt. Though the two acknowledged each other and stuck together to fend off attacks from Balor, Rollins was wary of Hayes’ gaze at the championship.

But Hayes is not the only one. WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is planning to come after the championship. The seven-time women’s champion made her intentions clear on Instagram. She posted a picture of herself and captioned it as next miss money in the bank. Reacting to the post, an Instagram user, asked her what title she would go for. Stratus replied: “Hmmm, maybe Seth’s?”

She is scheduled to appear at the upcoming Money In The Bank Women’s Ladder Match. The PLE will take place on July 1 at the O2 Arena in the UK’s London. The 47-year-old returned to WWE after a three-year hiatus. She remained a face until April this year. The heel turn happened at the expense of Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins’ wife.

But that’s not all. Stratus also dragged one of Rollins’ family members in her promos, aimed at belittling ‘The Man.’

Trish Stratus gets personal with Becky Lynch as rivalry intensifies

Stratus heel turn took place after nearly two decades on April 10. Before that, she teamed up with Lynch and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Lita to win a six-woman tag team match against Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky) at WrestleMania 39. But days later, Stratus backstabbed Lynch, after taking out Lita backstage, to cost them the Women’s Tag Team championship.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were able to take the belt from Becky Lynch and her substitute partner Stratus after their match on the said episode of WWE RAW. Therein started Stratus’ salvos. In weeks that followed, she cut several promos, deriding Lynch and her lack of gratitude towards her.

Stratus also dragged Rollins and Lynch’s two-year-old daughter and made fun of the toddler’s intellect. Though Lynch came back and took revenge by driving her out of the ring on one of the episodes, Stratus had the last laugh. She won their bout, albeit with help from Zoey Stark, at Night of Champions PLE in May.

Now, all three female wrestlers- Stratus, Lynch, and Stark- will compete in the same match at MITB. A win for Lynch will rob Stratus of a chance to challenge Rollins for the title. It’ll also be a fitting reply to her humiliating loss in Saudi Arabia. But they’ll also have to stave off attacks from Zelina Vega, Bayley, and Iyo Sky.
