“He Abuses That”: Triple H Destroyed WWE Legend’s Legacy With Stinging Words

Not all WWE Legends share the best relationship. Some of them have soured the relationship through years of rivalry, insults, and backhanded shots. Such is the situation between Goldberg and Triple H.

During Season 1 Episode 3 (2001) of WWE Tough Enough, Triple H addressed a group of contestants. In that, he revealed one of them had Goldberg’s posters up on the wall. The posters were torn down, but that didn’t end the shots at Goldberg.

The Game went on to explain why no one should idolise Goldberg, and why he doesn’t respect The Icon at all.

“The question I ask is, if your biggest idol in the business is a guy whose been in the business for about a year, got everything handed to him, can’t have a match longer than hour minutes, has not wrestled probably for more than three months straight, because every three months, he’s got a hangnail he’s got a toothache, he’s got a tummy ache. And, he used to take time off, I wonder where that mentally put that person?”

“Is it about what we do? Is it about telling a story? Or is it just about being a big jacked up guy that stands in the ring? He’s fed a bunch of guys who really don’t know what they’re doing to mow over. He abuses that. What does it say about somebody who has no heart about what we do? No guts. The fact that Triple H had bitter emotions towards Goldberg wasn’t for the show, but lasted through the years.

Triple H and Shawn Michaels did not think Goldberg was Hall of Fame material

WWE inducted Goldberg in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018. However, Shawn Michaels and HHH had spoken about the situation a few years before 2018.

They both agreed that Goldberg hasn’t wrestled enough to be in the Hall of Fame. Moreover, Michaels believed that a pro-wrestler who had injured quite a few of his opponents, including Michaels, shouldn’t be applauded.

On the other hand, The Icon isn’t delighted by Triple H either. In fact, he took open shots at HHH during fan interactions.

Regardless of how they feel about one another, both of them have their own fans. Currently, Goldberg isn’t working with WWE anymore considering he finished all matches in his contract.

Triple H revealed he wouldn’t be coming back to in-ring competition because of his heart issues.
