Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson usually stays in news due to his Hollywood projects or the ever-present rumors of a WWE return. But this time, it’s not because of his other Hollywood blockbuster or because of his in-ring return. This time it is because he won an award for his DC superhero debut, Black Adam.

Recently, Dwayne Johnson won Nickelodeon’s annual Kids’ choice award. He captured two awards, one for ‘Favorite voice in an animated movie’ and the other for ‘Favorite movie actor’.

Fans were divided as soon as they heard this news about DJ’s Black Adam success. While some fans were happy to see Dwayne winning, others were in dilemma. Fans were doubting Johnson’s victory as he won the best actor award for his movie ‘Black Adam’ which was not that successful at the box office.

DCEU decided to pull ‘Black Adam’ in its new chapter

Black Adam was the 11th film in the DC Universe and the debut one of The Rock. Although, the movie didn’t do exceptionally well at the box office, it was a massive hit among fans and got a 6.5 rating on IMDB. 

Even though ‘Black Adam’ was quite close to Dwayne’s heart and he had been working on that project for years, he won’t be playing the character again as DCEU decided not to include it in the ‘first chapter’ of the new era. 

If we talk bout Dwayne Johnson’s WWE return, then there is no official statement about that. Initially, it was rumored that The Rock would return at The Royal Rumble 2023 and fans would witness him against Roman Reigns in a family feud leading to a match at WrestleMania 39.

However, the plan got canceled because of DJ’s prior commitments. And now, Roman Reigns is going to face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39. What is your take on Dwayne winning the Kids’ Choice Award?
