Brock Lesnar is indeed a gifted athlete who possesses all three qualities, which makes him a dangerous opponent in WWE. He is a 6.5 ft man who is over 280 pounds and nimble-footed in the ring. Still, all these years later Brock Lesnar is a top player in WWE and his stardom has grown more over time.

However, these qualities undoubtedly helped him UFC and made him look like a star in WWE during his initial days. Since his debut, they sent Lesnar straight on the top of the card into the WWE World Title picture.

JBL recalls meeting Brock Lesnar for the first time

A few months back, WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield shared his experience of meeting Brock Lesnar for the first time. He shared this while answering some questions during a “Q&A” episode of Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw.

JBL recalled working with Lesnar at a show in Abilene, Texas. The former WWE champion had a conversation with The Beast to put him over as his college friends were at the show. However, JBL remembers how Lesnar tossed him around like a child in the match.

JBL said, “Brock hit me with a belly-to-belly suplex, and it’s hard suplexing a taller guy, not because of weight, but because you end up spiking a guy on his head. Brock caught me and threw me in a suplex and I had asked him before, I said, Brock, are you sure you can do this?’ Not strength wise, it’s just the logistics of throwing a guy that’s really tall. Brock said, ‘I’ve been suplexing people since I was 5 years old.”

He added, “I said, ‘Alright.’ He suplexed me so easily that I got up and said, ‘Do it again.’ He grabbed me and he did it again. I said, ‘Do it a third time’, and this time I didn’t do anything. I just stood there, and he threw me like a child. The strength of Brock Lesnar is like an Avenger. He should be an Avenger.”

It surprised the longest-reigning WWE Champion of SmackDown to see The Beast suplexing him with ease. No wonder JBL stated he should be an Avenger because of his unmatchable strength.

Vince McMahon’s reaction to seeing Lesnar for the first time

Brock Lesnar is a physical specimen and anyone who watches him for the first time is bound to be surprised. Vince McMahon had the same reaction when he saw Lesnar after Brisco and Ross brought him to a TV taping in Minneapolis.

Ross talking to talkSPORT said, “So McMahon is walking about with his Mr. McMahon walk and he happens to glance over and Gerry Brisco is standing by this monster. Vince made a U-turn and beelined right to Brock–he had never seen him. Never watched him wrestle.”
