“He Wasn’t Ready”: Wrestling Veteran Justifies Brock Lesnar’s Initial Push in WWE

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither was Brock Lesnar. He is one of the most decorated WWE Superstars in history, but it took immense effort from his end to keep up with WWE’s expectations.

As a rookie when someone gets a massive push, especially in sports entertainment, there’s quite a bit of pressure. The expectation is to stay at par with other top Superstars who have had years of practice to improve their craft.

But, Brock Lesnar didn’t have that time. He won a championship in his rookie year. Of course, he performed. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have gathered the fan following which he did. In fact, it would have been difficult for him to keep the audience engaged if he didn’t perform. However, would some extra time before the push served him better?

WWE Legend Jim Ross narrowed down on the situation during an episode of Grilling JR.

“He needed more time. He wasn’t ready. Ready, ready. Yeah. But to be ready, it doesn’t mean you can’t sell. Doesn’t mean you can’t put all the pieces of a good performance in place that makes the performance better. So I disagree with that opinion.”

Well, it’s impressive that Lesnar did what he did without the experience that others had. But, the Brock Lesnar of today has a whole new way of showing how much his craft has improved.

Brock Lesnar gave the WWE Universe an exciting character

When the fans spoke about The Beast prior to his SummerSlam 2021 return, they imagined a silent and strong pro-wrestler who didn’t interact with anyone. Little did they know Lesnar had a trick up his sleeve.

Upon coming back at SummerSlam 2021, Brock Lesnar arrived as The Hillbilly Cowboy. He was laughing, he was cutting promos, he was interacting with fans.. This was as wild as it could get.

The fans couldn’t get enough of him. Their only complaint was why did WWE not bring forth this character during Lesnar’s previous WWE runs!

The fact that Brock Lesnar returned with a whole new character and yet managed to engage the audience at the same capacity shows how talented he is as a performer.
