Naitch announced the Japanese legend The Great Muta will be the second inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. This a shocking and joyous moment not only for the WWE universe but the entire wrestling world.

The Great Muta, real name Keiji Muto wrestled in WCW several times. However, he spent major time in Japanese wrestling promotions like AJPW, NJPW, and Pro-Wrestling NOAH. He had brief appearances at TNA/ IMPACT Wrestling over the years but never wrestled in a WWE ring.

Therefore, this is a significant moment as he will be in the WWE Hall of Fame despite not wrestling for Vince McMahon. However, he wrestled Shinsuke Nakamura earlier this year at Pro-Wrestling NOAH and then retired from in-ring competition a few days later.

He wrestled his last match against Tetsuya Naito at the Keiji Muto Grand Final Pro-Wrestling “Last-Love” event in February. However, after that match, he had an impromptu match against Masahiro Chono, who was on commentary but lost.

Nevertheless, this is a huge honor for Muta to say felicitate his career with the WWE Hall of Fame induction. The fans went berserk after this announcement.

Wrestling fans react to The Great Muta being inducted into WWE Hall of Fame

When the news went viral about Flair announcing the next Hall of Famer, many thought it was Batista. However, it was the 60-year-old Japanese legend and fans are glad WWE is inducting him this year and recognizing his illustrious career.

The wrestling world shows happiness as the Japanese legend will be in the WWE Hall of Fame this year.
