Here Is Everything You Need to Know About the Recent Separation Rumors Between Matt Hardy and Wife Amidst Her Concerning Social Media Activity

A few months ago in October 2023, Matt Hardy celebrated his 10-year marriage anniversary with Reby Hardy. The couple has four kids together and is usually seen in good spirits together. However, the recent social media activity of Reby Hardy indicates there could be trouble in the Hardy paradise.

Matt Hardy who wrestled in AEW, also dropped some cryptic messages in response which could hint all is not well. This has led to rumors of separation between the two.

It all began at the start of 2024 on social media, where Reby posted a rather concerning TikTok video. In the video, she posted a clip of herself with Matt Hardy and her kids from December 31st, 2022. The voiceover on the clip said, “You know what? This year is gonna be my year, I can feel it. I can just feel it.” Then the video cut to a simple photo of Reby Hardy sitting along in a chair on January 1st, 2024. The caption to the video, which had “Not My Year” written on the thumbnail, raised concerns. The video was also tagged with #househardy  #newyear  #newyearnewme  #trauma  #depression  #heartbreak  #drama  reby hardy. 

This was followed by a cryptic post on Threads where she wrote, “My face is so sullen, I swear I’ve aged 10 years in a month.” This post further added to the notion that something was not right. Reby Hardy posted another TikTok video, and while it didn’t include a lot of context it was still noteworthy. It said, “When you see what the girl he’s obsessing over looks like in person.” Then came her recent post which caught the attention of a lot of wrestling fans.

The video featured herself in an Adam Copeland, a.k.a Edge, t-shirt with the caption, “When Matt Hardy does me dirty for the last time.”  For hardcore WWE fans, Edge and Hardy have had their issues regarding Lita back in the 2000s. Lita was Hardy’s girlfriend, with whom he had a six-year relationship. The relationship began in 1999 while both worked for the NWA Mid-Atlantic before ending in 2005. The relationship ended due to Copeland having an affair with Lita while she was with Hardy. This resulted in a messy backstage situation while the two stars were feuding in the WWE as part of their storyline.

Apart from this video, she also made a post on Threads of an image which read “REMINDER HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING WHEN HE WAS HURTING YOU.”

She later posted about receiving a bouquet, which many believe was from Matt’s end. While the family has yet to talk openly about what is going on, these actions on social media have been enough to fuel rumors. Matt Hardy also posted a cryptic message of his own later. The AEW star retweeted his old post from 2021 on X talking about karma, which only fueled the speculations. More recently, he posted a light-hearted clip that shows the star having fun with his toddlers at the poolside, but their mother is nowhere to be seen.

Nevertheless, given the nature of the business, Matt Hardy operates in it’s not out of the ordinary for this to be a shoot in the works. Especially for someone as “broken” as him.

Could this be part of a Hardy storyline?

Fans have also speculated that this could be a work towards a Matt Hardy in-ring angle. While it is too early to suggest anything, this would not be the first time the former WWE star’s real-life issues have been brought to the ring.

Also, Hardy is known to reinvent himself as he did with his “broken gimmick” in TNA all those years ago. Since his AEW run hasn’t yielded much as of late, could this be a story in the works, given that Copeland, his former real-life nemesis is also in the company?
