During his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, Angle talked that Vince McMahon ordered WWE EVP, Television Production Kevin Dunn to avoid showing Austin’s legs on the camera.

The injuries cut-short the career of Stone Cold Steve Austin

Angle revealed the reason Vince McMahon decided not to show Austin’s lower body is because his legs would “twitch” when he used to stand on the second rope to pose.

It was all because of the injuries that he had sustained in his career in the pro-wrestling business. Eventually, Austin had to retire earlier than he wanted because if he had continued to perform, it would have dealt permanent damage to his body.

“Even after the surgery, he came back, he was 100% and he was going hard. But what happened with him, and the reason why he retired, is his back started to go to. He was really playing with fire because when he’d get up on the second rope to pose, his legs would twitch, really hard. It was noticeable on camera so Vince McMahon was telling Kevin Dunn, the producer, a don’t film, don’t show shots of Austin’s lower body. Just of his upper body because his back was starting to go too and he was gonna have to have surgery again.” Kurt said.
