Finn Balor and Karrion Kross collided in an epic encounter on Night 2 of NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver for the NXT Championship. Both men gave it their all, but in the end, Doomsday arrived for Balor as Kross defeated him to win the NXT Championship.

Finn Balor – main roster or NXT UK bound?

The ‘Prince‘ sat on top of the NXT mountain for 212 long days. Now that his reign is over, what could be in store next? Honestly, anything can happen in WWE and NXT is no exception. There are three ways Finn Balor could go after his championship loss to Karrion Kross.

First, Finn Balor can stay back in NXT and continue his program with Karrion Kross. He could try to win back his championship. However, we doubt he’d be successful. The second possibility is of him returning to the main roster.

Balor is no stranger to the big leagues. He made his Raw debut in 2017 and defeated Roman Reigns in the main event the same night to earn a Universal Championship shot at Summerslam that year.

Sadly, the period that elapsed between his Raw debut and Summerslam victory was the only time WWE had legitimate creative plans for him. We all know how they treated him once he returned from injury.

The third and the most unlikely would be Balor jumping ship to NXT UK. Wait, does he even need to jump ship? WALTER is already in the U.S., as we recently saw him defend his NXT UK Championship against Tommaso Ciampa.

So, a top NXT star challenging the ‘Ring General’ isn’t an absurd idea. Plus, Balor versus WALTER is a match that fans have craved for a very long time, especially British wrestling fans.

We are certain Bálor will continue to be this top superstar in NXT but can’t say the same if he goes to the main roster. Plus, it’s senseless for him to go back if it’s not for a World title feud. To sum it up, Finn Balor would most likely stay back in NXT. He may take a break and then return a few months later, who knows?
