Kevin Owens finally revealed his reason for trash-talking about Texas. It was the plan to call out a legend from the state of Texas. The Prizefighter was calling out none other than WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38.

Following Owen’s callout, Austin announced his decision to accept Owens’ invitation the next day. Stone Cold stated that he will be there to teach Owens a lesson for talking trash about the state of Texas.

Recently, F4WOnline’s Bryan Alvarez on his podcast gave his reaction on Steve Austin accepting Kevin Owens’ invitation to WrestleMania 38. He was of the impression that Stone Cold did not agree to accept the WrestleMania invitation until before this week’s RAW.

Alvarez said, “I don’t think that Steve Austin fully agreed and signed to do this thing until very recently. I was given that impression by somebody and if you watch the television, I’m pretty sure that’s the case. They only built up that Kevin Owens was going to feud with somebody from Texas.”

WWE kept it as an open book to the WWE Universe. It could have been anyone from Texas if Austin hadn’t agreed upon the WrestleMania 38 appearance. WWE too didn’t reveal the name of the Texas legend until this week’s RAW.
